The Custom-Made
Orthotics Process

Your doctor or other health care professional has prescribed orthotics and you have booked an appointment with Paris Pedorthic Services.

Your Pedorthic Assessment will consist of the following:

  • A thorough history and lower extremity biomechanical assessment (including orthopaedic assessment and clinical gait analysis)
  • Footwear analysis and recommendations
  • A 3-dimensional impression of your feet (Neutral Suspension Technique)

Your custom-made prescription orthotics will be unique to your condition, activity level and to the footwear in which they will be used. Your Pedorthist will design the device based on their assessment findings and the prescription instructions from you health care professional.

Your orthotics are made in Paris Orthotics’ own Lab - Canada’s pre-eminent accredited orthotic manufacturer and the Lab of choice for the most technically demanding foot healthcare professionals. The highly skilled technicians at our Lab use a combination of state of the art CAD/CAM technology and old fashioned hand craftsmanship to make your orthotics.

Within approximately two weeks your orthotics will be ready for fitting. At your fitting appointment they will be checked for proper fitting (to your feet and footwear) and you will be given break-in and any follow-up appointment instructions on break-in and any follow-up appointments required.
